Establish Your Prayers

1) Fifteen Punishments for Neglecting Prayers

SAYINGS (HADITH) OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam)The one who neglect the prayers will receive Fifteen punishments from Allah.

a) Six punishments in this life time
b) Three while dying
c) Three in the grave &
d) Three on the Day of Judgment.

a) THE SIX PUNISHMENTS OF LIFE:
1. Allah takes away blessings from his age (makes his life misfortunate)
2.Allah does not accept his plea (Dua's)
3.Allah erases the features of good people from his face.
4.He will be detested by all creatures on earth.
5.Allah does not award him for his good deeds. (No thawab)
6.He will not be included in th! e Dua's of good people.

b) THE THREE PUNISHMENTS WHILE DYING:
1. He dies humiliated.
2. He dies hungry.
3. He dies thirsty. Even if he drinks the water of all seas he will still be thirsty.

c) THE THREE PUNISHMENTS IN THE GRAVE:
1. Allah tightens his grave until his chest ribs come over each other.
2. Allah pours on him fire with embers.
3. Allah sets on him a snake called "the brave", "the bold" which hits Him from morning until afternoon for leaving Fajr prayer, from the afternoon until Asr for leaving Dhuhr prayer and so on. With each strike he sinks 70 yards under the ground.

d) THE THREE PUNISHMENTS ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT:
1. Allah sends who would accompany him to hell pulling him on the face.
2. Allah gives him an angry look that makes the flesh of his face fall down.
3. Allah judges him strictly and orders him to be thrown in hell.

 2) Establish your prayers: (Time is running out)

Has not the time come for the believers to surrender their hearts to Allah’s remembrance and to this truth that has come down? And do not be like those who were earlier given the Book(s) and when a long term passed over them, their hearts became hardened; and many of them are sinners. [Surah Hadeed 57: Ayah 16]

3) Hadees-e-Nabwi:(Friday)

Narrated Salman-Al-Farsi ( رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ):

The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said, "Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then uses his (hair) oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds (for the Jumua prayer) and does not separate two persons sitting together (to jump over others shoulders in the mosque to sit in front rows), then prays as much as (Allah has) written for him and then remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven."

Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 13 :: Hadith 8

4) Establish Your Prayers:

".... and whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord – He will put him in a punishment that keeps on increasing.’ [Surah Jinn:: 72:17]

To Allah we belong and to Allah we return. Our reality is what is in this picture. Nothing will help us down there except our deeds. Certainly a wake up call. Strange but true, we ignore the most certain thing which is definitely coming for every person - Death! May Allah have mercy on us and lighten our graves with the light of Jannah!

5) Establish Your Prayers (Call for Friday)

O People who Believe! When the call for prayer is given on (Friday) the day of congregation, rush towards the remembrance of Allah and stop buying and selling; this is better for you if you understand. [Surah Juma`h :: 62:9]

6) Establish Your Prayers: (Al Quran)

So when you have offered your prayers remember Allah while standing, sitting and reclining; and when you feel secure, offer prayers in the usual manner; indeed prayers are a time bound obligatory duty upon the Muslims.

[Surah Nisa 4:103]

7) Establish your prayers: (Virtues of Salaat)

Salaat/salawat/salah is arabic word for Namaz. Salah is a privileged moment of calm and serenity between a creature and its Creator. It is the only obligatory pillar (among the 5) which was not issued by
revelation of the Holy Quran, but given directly to the our beloved prophet, the peace of the hearts, a blessing for the universe, the best of the Ambia, king of the kings “huzoor hazrath Muhammed Mustafa (Peace be upon him)” during the celestial voyage of Mi'raaj. Our beloved prophet said that Salah is the Mi'raaj of the believers. It is also known that the moment one is closer to its Creator is during the prostration (sajda) during the Salah.

There are several virtues of Salah mentioned in the Holy Quran and Ahadith, among them few are mentioned below:

Salah is the heart of our faith Salah is a way of pleasing Allah (Azza wa Jal)
Salah is well liked by the Angels
Salah is a code of the Prophets (Peace be upon Them)
Salah is one of the most beautiful lights (noor) of Allah (Azza wa Jal)
Salah brings blessing in our food
Salah is a rest for our soul and body
Salah protects from enemy
Salah (could be) used as intercession (shafa' At)
Salah is a brightness for our grave.
Salah will save us from loneliness in the grave
Salah is a way, that wishes (du'as) are granted.
Salah will help to answer the angels Munkar & Nakeer in the grave
Salah gives us a noor for our body and the soul
Salah will save us from hell fire.
Salah will be used as weight to weigh our deeds
Salah will help us to swiftly cross the "Bridge of Sirat"
Salah is the key of Paradise.
Salah keeps us away from bad deeds
Salah cleans our register of activities (‘amal-namaa) as soap cleans dirty linen.
Salah will also be the first question which will be asked on the day of the last judgement (qiyaamat).
Salah is Meraj for Momin.
Salah is the main difference between believers and non-believers.

(Salah is heart and love of prophet is life, without life no heart or no part can benefit the body)

May Allah count us in Momin, transform all of us & our hearts to establish/protect our prayers and guide us to Jannah. Aameen..

8) Establish your prayers:

The Almighty Allah Subhanahu Taala said in the Holy Quran: “Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (the prayers) (i.e. made their Salat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by
not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times, etc.) and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell. Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger Muhammad (SAWS), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught.”

[Surah Al-Maryam (19:59:60)]

9) Establish your prayers:"hay-yaa al-as-salaah and hay-yaa al-al falah", You have again Missed a Call From Allah.

Among... the marvels of modern technology is also the ability to track the missed calls which were made by our friends and foes and the
 likes.

We do not get a good night's sleep, unless we have returned the calls of those who matter.
...
We don't let any call go unanswered as long as we know that it matters.
Don't we?

But how about the calls of "hay-yaa al-as-salaah and hay-yaa al-al falah" made from the neighbourhood house of our master, the Almighty Allah.?

Those calls are made five times a day and many a times they all go unanswered.

We do not either respond!!! Nor do we respect these missed calls. Do they matter?

Everybody can tell, if these really matter. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but surely in the hereafter.

Let us look at ourselves. Can we afford to let these calls of the muezzin be missed, day after day, after day.

The call from our cherisher, sustainer and the ultimate master.
Just think about it.

Next time one hears this call, just ask yourself how good a night's sleep can I have by missing those calls from the house of Allah.

Think about it the answer may come from the inner heart

10 ) Estabilsh your prayers: Nur for musalli,

The prophet of mankind, the peace of our hearts and mind, the most generous and kind SAW said "the one who secures his salah, the salah wil be nur, evidence and salvation for him on the day of judgement an
d the one who does not protect it, there will be no nur, evidence or salvation for him on the day of judgement and such a person will he kept with pharoah, qarun, haman, and ubay bin khalaf on the day of judgement". (musnad, PP 574, vol 2 hadith 6587)

Authors ref: Laws of Salah, DI 100.

11) Establish your prayers: The very first question on the day of judgement:

The beloved prophet SAW said, "On the day of judgement, the very first question that will be asked to man out of his deeds will be about salah; if his salah is correct he wil
l succeed but if it is incomplete, he will be disgraced and will suffer loss (al-mu'jam-ul-awsat-lit-tabrani, pp 32, vol 3, hadith 3782)
Authors ref: Laws of salah DI 100.

dear friends the above hadith is for one whose performs salah incorrectly, now think about who completely skip his prayers!!! please establish your prayers and try to protect it by learning how to pray correctly

12) Establish your prayers:

The first thing you will be questioned about on the Day of Judgement is your Salah. The sinners will be asked "What led you into hell fire?" They will say, "We were not of those who prayed salah". Quran 41-43:74.

13) Establish your prayers: (Be Namazi aur Bebarkthi)

Ek Sahabi ne Arz kia Ay Allah k Nabi Sallahu Allehi Wassalim Mere Ghar Barkat nhi kya kron?

“Aap Sallahu Allehi Wassalim ne Farmaya:Apne Ghar k Darwazy Py Parda Lgao

“Sahabi ne Aisa kia,

Kuch Din Baad Phr Aaye Arz ki, “Ab Mere Ghr Bht Barkt he Lekin Pardy se Kya Wasta?

“Frmaya ke:Tmhare Ghar k Pas se “Be-Namazi” Guzarty hen Unki Nahusat Ghr Pe Prti thi or Barkt Nikal Jati thi
“Sochen Jis Ghar Me hi Be_Nmazi hn to Kesy Barkat Ho.

14) Establish Your Prayers: (Al Quran)

So when you have offered your prayers remember Allah while standing, sitting and reclining; and when you feel secure, offer prayers in the usual manner; indeed prayers are a time bound obligatory duty upon the Muslims.

[Surah Nisa 4:103]

15) Establish Your Prayers: (Sustenance is with Allah)

[Noor 24:37] (Are) Those men, whom neither any bargain nor any trade distracts from the Remembrance of Allah and from establishing the prayer and from paying the charity – they fear the day when t
he hearts and the eyes will be overturned.

[Noor 24:38] In order that Allah may reward them for their best deeds and by His munificence, bestow upon them an increased reward; and Allah gives sustenance to whomever He wills, without account.

16) Establish your prayers: (Correct your prayers)

Hadrat sayyiduna imam bukhari RA, says that hazrat sayyiduna huzayfah bin yaman RA saw a person performing his ruku and sujud improperly during his salah, so he RA said to the person, "if you die offe
ring salah in the way as you have just offered you will not die in accordance with the teachings of hazrat sayyiduna muhammed (peace be upon him) "sahi bukhari, pp. 284, vol. 1, hadith 808"

in another narration, sunan nasai also states that he RA asked the person, "for how long have you been offering salah in this way?" the person replied, "for forty years." he RA said, "you haven't offered at all for the past forty years; if you die in this state, you will not die following the religion of muhammed (peace be upon him) "sunan nasai, pp 225, hadith 1309"

The above fate is for the one prays but who does not perform it correctly, so what will be our fate who miss salah for no reason, and never even tried to know how to perform and protect our prayers?

Allah se muhabbat karen aur us paak zaat ke Jalal se daren, Allah Azzawajal se dua hai ke humko imaan ke saath uthaye.

17) Establish your prayers: (Wearing Cap in Salah)

It is usual practice in most of the places especially in Dubai and the gulf cities that people never bother to wear a cap during the Salah.
What do the Hadith say about covering the head in Salaat?

To cover the head, using a turban or wearing a skull cap (Topi) is Sunnah. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would tie a turban on the cap. Imam Haithami has established a chapter on "Topi" in his book of Hadith Majma Uz Zawaaid and has recorded a Hadith on the authority of Tabarani:

Translation of Hadith: It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abdullah bin Umar (May Allah be well pleased with them) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would wear a white cap. (Majma Uz Zawaaid, Vol. 5, Pg No. 121)

There is a Hadith in Jame' Tirmidhi:

Translation of Hadith: Indeed! The difference between us and the "Mushrikeen" (those who take partners with Allah Ta'ala) is turbans tied on caps. (Jame' Tirmidhi, Vol. 1, Pg No. 308)

Thus, the cap (Topi) is mentioned in the Hadith and we learn that in the blessed era of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), caps were very common and specially for Salaat, turbans were also worn, as given in Sahih Bukhari:

Translation of Hadith: The great Tabi'ee Hadhrat Hasan Basri (May Allah be well pleased with him) says: Because of the heat, the Sahabah, would perform Sajdah on their caps and turbans and their hands would be in their sleeves. (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Pg No. 56)

There is another Hadith, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was asked about the clothes of Ihram and He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Translation of Hadith: You should not wear tunics (Kameez in Urdu), nor pajamas, neither turbans nor caps..... (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Pg No. 248, Hadith No: 1838)

This Hadith shows that the Sahabah would generally wear turbans and caps, that is why the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) stopped them from wearing them in Ihram.

Thus, the Masnoon and Mustahab (Established by the Sunnah and the Commendable) way is that Salaat should be offered with the head covered. Not doing because of laziness is Makruh (undesirable), as given in Durre Mukhtaar, Vol. 1, Pg No. 474 and Raddul Muhtaar, Vol. 1, Pg No. 474:

Translation of Hadith: Offering Salaat with the head uncovered is Makruh. It is very bad that covering the head should be considered a chore because of laziness and not to consider it an important act in Salaat and to drop it.

Establishing prayers does not mean performing a prayer only once but to begin, start, continue with consistency, maintain prayers at its give timings, perform it correctly, performing it according to sunnah, protect it, establish prayer to please the Allah AJ.

how can we say we love Allah Azzawajal and Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) if we dont even bother to act on this simple sunnah?

May Allah give us hidaya to establish and protect our prayer.

18) Establish your prayers: (Salah way to approach Allah)

Without performing Namaz (prayer), none can approach Allah (God), because Namaz is the climax (mi'raj) in the process of such an approach for the pious.

Khaja Moinuddin Chisti (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu) [Khaja Ghareeb Nawaz].

19) Establish Your Prayers (Call for Friday)

O People who Believe! When the call for prayer is given on (Friday) the day of congregation, rush towards the remembrance of Allah and stop buying and selling; this is better for you if you understand. [Surah Juma`h :: 62:9]

20) Establish Your Prayers (Call for Friday)

[Noor 24:56] And keep the prayer established and pay the obligatory charity and obey the Noble Messenger, in the hope of attaining mercy.

[Noor 24:57] Do not ever think that the disbelievers can escape from Our control in the land; and their destination is the fire; and indeed what a wretched outcome!

 21) Establish Your Prayers (You've again ignored Call from Allah

Among... the marvels of modern technology is also the ability to track the missed calls which were made by our friends and foes and the likes.

Those calls are made five times a day and many a times they all go unanswered.

Do not we believe that one day we will raised back again and need to answer the almighty for our negligence?

22) Establish Your Prayers (Pray and protect your prayers)

" So ruin is to those offerers of prayer" [Surah Mao`on 107:4]

[that is, woe to those who are heedless of their prayers]

" Those who are neglectful of their prayer".[Surah Mao`on 107:5]

"Those who make a display (of their deeds)"[Surah Mao`on 107:6]

Hypocrites (munafiq) were very lazy about their prayers. That is because they had apparently accepted Islam but did not believe in Allah Ta’ala or the day of judgement in their hearts. There was no importance given to prayer by them, if they prayed, they prayed. If they missed it, it was no big deal to them. If they prayed they were not expecting any reward for it. If they missed it there was no fear of any reprisal or punishment. If they were amongst people they would pray. If they were on their own they would not bother, or would not pray it at the correct times. They would sit around swapping stories, and when the time would almost be up, they would stand, move up and down quickly a few times and claim that they had prayed. They would not pray with the sincerity or humility that it should be prayed with. They would never truly busy themselves in worship or the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala.

These are all forms of carelessness, and a true believer should save himself from all of them.

The author of Rooh Ul Bayaan says that this verse refers to the hypocrites that do not pray and the Muslims that are transgressors (fasiq).

In the verse Allah Ta’ala says that there is a place called “Vail” for people that are careless about their prayers. In the blessed Hadith it states that “Vail” is a valley in hell. If all the mountains of the world were put in there, they would all melt because of its intensity and heat. This valley is for those that are lazy about their prayers and do not pray at the correct times.

Let us make sincere repentance that we will not be lazy with our prayers in the future and will pray with the congregations, Insha Allah.

May Allah Ta’ala guide us all to pray at the correct time and to protect our prayers. Aameen

 23) Establish Your Prayers: (Who will save you from His (Allah) wrath if we disobey his command)

“And when you call to prayer, they mock and make fun of it; this is because they are people without any sense” [Surah Maidah 5:58].

Say, “O People given the Book(s)! What do you dislike in us - except that we believe in Allah and what is sent down to us and what was sent down before, and because most of you are disobedient?” [Surah Maidah 5:59].

Say, “Shall I tell you of those who are in a worse position than this, in Allah’s sight? It is those whom Allah has cursed and has wreaked His wrath upon and turned some of them into apes and swine, and worshippers of the devil; theirs is a worse destination and they have wandered further astray from the Straight Path.” [Surah Maidah 5:60].

May Allah Azzawajal Guide us to establish our prayers and keep us steadfast to the right path.

24) Establish Your Prayers: (Pray to please Allah Azzawajal)

Keep the prayer established, from the declining of the sun until darkness of the night, and the Qur’an at dawn; indeed the angels witness the reading of the Qur’an at dawn. [Surah Bani Israel 17:78]

25) Establish Your Prayers: (Seek help through prayers)

And seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard except for those who prostrate before Me with sincerity [Baqarah 2:45]

26) Establish Your Prayers: (Fear Allah Azzawajal)

“And to keep the (obligatory) prayer established and to fear Him; and it is to Him that you are to be raised.” [Surah Ana`am 6:72]

 27) Establish Your Prayers: (Pray Constantly and Guard your prayers)

Guard all your prayers, and the middle prayer; and stand with reverence before Allah.[Surah Baqarah 2:238]

28) Establish Your Prayers: (Pray with Congression)

And keep the (obligatory) prayer established, and pay the charity, and bow your heads with those who bow (in prayer).[Surah Baqarah 2:43]

29) Establish Your Prayers:

And those who hold fast to the Book, and kept the prayer established; and We do not waste the wages of the righteous.[Surah Aa`raf 7:170]

30) Establish Your Prayers:

And command your household to establish prayer, and yourself be steadfast in it; We do not ask any sustenance from you; We will provide you sustenance; and the excellent result is for piety.[Surah Ta-Ha 20:132]

31) Establish Your Prayers: (Pray to please allah, Try nafil in night)

And keep the prayer established at the two ends of the day and in some parts of the night; indeed good deeds wipe out the evil deeds; this is an advice to those who heed it.[Surah Hud 11:114]
